General Conditions of Admission:

  1. Hold an Iraqi preparatory school certificate, Or the equivalent certificate reinforced by a confirmation from the General Directorate of Education in the province, According to the admission inputs for each specialization.

  2. To be born in 1990 upwards.

  3. Students graduating from the academic year (2019-2020) compete exclusively for admission to the Dean’s Universities/Faculty of General Medicine and Heir of the Prophets University/Faculty of General Medicine.

  4. Graduates of vocational centers (Al-Mutassim Center, Al-Waleed Center, Al-Moataz Center) and vocational centers where the duration of study is three years and who have taken the ministerial exam (baccalaureate) are entitled exclusively to apply in universities and private colleges and according to the inputs of each specialization.

  5. To be full-time to study and it is not permissible to combine the job with the study (at the same time) in universities and morning colleges, including the employees of all government institutions and provided that in their continuation of study they obtain a study leave from their departments starting in accordance with the instructions in force, It is not permissible to combine two studies either, and in case of proof otherwise, write to the Ministry/Department of Private University Education to cancel his admission.

  6. To pass the medical examination in accordance with the conditions of each study and the blind student (who meets the conditions) is entitled to submit to appropriate humanitarian studies.

  7. The student admitted to one of the private universities / colleges for the previous years has the right to apply to another department in the same college according to the inputs and conditions of application for the year (2020/2021) and in the event of his acceptance his university / college issues an administrative order to change his department and proceeds in the first stage of his new admission and the Ministry is informed of this.

  8. The student’s registration shall be promoted in the event of acceptance in another university/college or study outside Iraq or obtain an appointment after submitting a written request to do so by the student within the period of one working week from the date of application.

  9. The student admitted to public universities and colleges has the right to apply for admission to private universities and colleges according to the electronic form and the principle of differentiation and according to the inputs and conditions of application for the year (2020/2021) and the delivery of the student’s file shall be under a delivery record and received by those authorized to do so and within a period not exceeding (60) days from the date of issuance of the admission order and otherwise the university / college shall bear the consequences thereof.

  10. A student who has been promoted to a private university / college has the right to apply again according to the electronic form and the principle of differentiation and according to the inputs and conditions of application for the year (2020/2021), The student should not apply for admission to the same department in which he was promoted.

  11. Private universities/colleges are not allowed to receive any amount of tuition fees or so-called insurances from the student before the appearance of his admission to the university / college, It is also not entitled to receive any other amounts during the period of admission and registration of the student on the electronic system.

  12. Ministers, those with their ranks, members of the House of Representatives, those with special grades and members of provincial councils are not entitled to apply for admission to the morning study.

  13. Students of the Kurdistan Region who are graduates of preparatory study (recognized by the Ministry of Education) can apply for admission to universities and private colleges.

  14. After the admission of students, a university order is issued to the universities and administrative orders to the colleges that include the names of the admitted students and are submitted to the Ministry after presenting them to the College Council for approval.

  15. The data of students admitted to private universities and colleges for the academic year 2020-2021 are checked with the Department of Private University Education and according to the contexts determined by the Department later.

General Bases adopted by the Admission System:

  1. Approve the electronic form for the purpose of applying in universities and private colleges.

  2. Adopt the principle of trade-off with the rate for admission to the morning and evening study.

  3. The student has the right to write down only four options in the electronic form.

  4. The student is accepted according to the options proven in the application form and the student’s submission of the electronic form for admission to universities and private colleges is not binding on the Ministry in his admission but depends on his competition and differentiation with the rest of the students.

  5. A percentage (8%) of the foreign language degree added to any year of graduation is calculated and added to the student’s total and not his average (as in the example).

Student Total Grades: 560

French Language Degree: 90

8% of French score 90 * 0.08 = 7.2

The total student after the addition of the Frenchman becomes 567.2

6. The application period shall be within (10) working days starting from the date of launch of the electronic form.

7. One degree shall be added to the student’s advanced average of successful students in the first round of the preparatory branches (scientific / literary / industrial / commercial / agricultural / Islamic / computer and information technology branch / applied arts / teachers institute / nursing / midwifery and obstetrics) and deprives the student of the system of attempts to enjoy this advantage.

8. Two degrees shall be added to the student’s average for preparatory study in all its branches who have obtained the certificate of technical diploma / technical universities for admission to his specialization corresponding to (to the certificate of the institute) provided that the student brings his graduation document from the institute where the competition is carried out on the basis of the average and certificate of preparatory school.

9. Students graduating from institutes (holders of a diploma) of the first 20% are entitled to apply in universities and private colleges with the corresponding competence for their studies at the Institute, taking into account that they are not granted the advantage in paragraph (D above) where the competition is based on the rate of the Institute, the (20%) for each specialization is calculated separately with the reparation of breaking the number for the benefit of the student (example: In the specialization in which the number of graduates of the first round is (43) students, 9 students are nominated.

10. If the student is admitted to more than one seat (morning, evening), His admission will depend on the seat in which the student is registered and his name is deleted from the other seat.

11. The student shall review the body where his admission appeared for the purpose of registration within a period not exceeding (10) working days and otherwise his admission shall be canceled.

12. The fraction (0.5 and above) in the average shall be compensated for the benefit of the student for the purpose of application.

13. The student has the right to choose one of the two privileges below:

The privilege of accepting the children of faculty members and children of holders of higher degrees in other ministries.

The privilege of the families of martyrs.

14. The student who benefits from the privilege of the children of faculty members and the children of holders of higher degrees in other ministries or the families of martyrs has the right to apply on the public channel through the electronic form.
