The Council of the Islamic University – Babylon Branch held its fifth meeting, chaired by the President of the University, Prof. Dr. Haider Kadhim Abdul Ali Al-Quraishi, and attended by the Council members, to discuss a range of academic and administrative matters, as well as student affairs, as part of the University’s ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of education and strengthen institutional performance.
The Council reviewed several academic priorities, foremost among them the development of academic curricula in line with recent scientific advancements and labor market requirements. It also emphasized the importance of strengthening coordination and collaboration among corresponding academic departments, while following up on the implementation of academic and research plans and evaluating their progress and outcomes.
The Council further reviewed the outcomes of the Digital Transformation Committee meeting held at the Islamic University in Najaf Al-Ashraf, which focused on expanding the adoption of modern electronic systems in managing academic and administrative processes to improve institutional efficiency and accelerate digital transformation.
Regarding student affairs, the Council discussed the verification of student records, measures to enhance the quality of graduation research projects, and preparations for the final examinations to ensure a well-organized examination environment in accordance with the approved schedules and regulations.
The meeting concluded with an emphasis on strengthening administrative discipline, continuing to improve the educational environment, and promoting a culture of quality assurance and continuous improvement, in support of the University’s mission to achieve excellence in academic and research performance.
